According to UAE labour law, either the employer or the employee can end a working relationship by giving a 30 to 90-day written notice as stipulated in the contract.

Employers can, however, terminate workers without cause after conducting a written interrogation that demonstrates certain violations.
Employers must notify employees in writing of their termination under Article 44 of the new UAE Labour Law, detailing the reasons for the termination without a notice period.
If an employee is found to have committed any of the following ten violations, the employer may terminate the employee without notice:

Submits forged certificates or documents, or assumes a false identity or nationality.

Commits a mistake that results in a significant material loss for the employer, or intentionally damages the employer’s property, and admits it. In this case, the employer must notify the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization of the violation within seven working days of becoming aware of it.

Violates workplace instructions on worker and business safety, provided that such instructions were posted in a visible location or verbally communicated to an illiterate employee.

Despite receiving a written interrogation and a warning of dismissal twice if the violation was repeated, fails to perform basic duties stated in the employment contract and persists in the violation.

Any establishment secrets relating to industrial and intellectual property are revealed, resulting in losses or missed opportunities for the employer or a personal benefit for the worker.

Is discovered under the influence of alcohol or narcotics during working hours, or commits an act at work that offends public morals.

During the course of work, verbally or physically assaults the employer, the manager, or any of his coworkers.

Is absent from work for more than 20 days in a row or more than seven days in a row in a year without a valid excuse.

Exploits his or her position in an illegal manner in order to gain personal benefits and results.

Joins another organisation without following the proper rules and procedures.
