Corporate Tax support across mainland and Free Zone jurisdictions

KGRN supports UAE businesses with Corporate Tax registration, return preparation, filing and related compliance requirements across major licensing jurisdictions.

Your position

Find your next Corporate Tax action

Compliance rarely starts from zero. Select where you are and the next action is defined.

Start with certainty. KGRN checks the entity, tax period, deadline, accounting records and relief position before preparing the return. That prevents a quick filing from becoming an expensive correction.
Scope

End-to-end UAE Corporate Tax compliance

One engagement can cover the full journey from registration to filing and post-filing support.

Who is in scope

Who may need to register and file

UAE Corporate Tax applies to tax periods beginning on or after 1 June 2023. The analysis depends on the person, incorporation, residence, activities and any exemption.

Being dormant, loss-making or below the 9% threshold does not by itself remove a registration or filing obligation. Government entities, qualifying public benefit entities, qualifying investment funds and other exempt persons have specific statutory conditions.
Registration

Corporate Tax registration support

KGRN prepares the registration file, checks the legal and licence information and submits through EmaraTax. The FTA registration service itself is free — professional fees apply for KGRN's review, preparation and submission support.

Typical registration documents

The exact requirements depend on the legal form, ownership, branch structure and information already held in EmaraTax.

Return filing

What we test before the return is filed

A Corporate Tax return is not simply a profit figure uploaded from the accounts. The accounting result must be tested against the Corporate Tax Law, elections, reliefs and required disclosures.

Deliverables: filed return confirmation, final tax computation, payment guidance, supporting schedules and a seven-year records checklist.
Deadlines

Filing deadlines and payment

The general rule is that the return and any Corporate Tax payable are due within nine months from the end of the relevant tax period, unless a different deadline applies under an FTA decision or transitional measure.

These examples apply the general nine-month rule. Confirm the FTA tax period shown in EmaraTax and check for any special decision before relying on a date.

Deadline risk. Filing and payment are separate compliance actions. Submit the return and ensure the amount reaches the FTA by the applicable deadline.

Rates

A 0% rate is not the same as no compliance

A return may still be required even when no tax is payable.

Free zones

A Free Zone licence does not create an automatic 0% position

A Free Zone Person seeking Qualifying Free Zone Person treatment must satisfy the relevant conditions throughout the tax period and correctly classify its income.

Review my Free Zone tax position →
If the conditions are not met, the entity may cease to be a Qualifying Free Zone Person from the start of the relevant tax period and for subsequent periods as prescribed by law. KGRN performs the condition review before the rate is applied in the return.
Recent Corporate Tax update

Small Business Relief

Eligible UAE resident persons with revenue not exceeding AED 3 million in the relevant and all previous tax periods may elect for Small Business Relief, subject to the law and exclusions. Under the 2026 extension, the relief applies to eligible tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2029.

Records & audit

Financial statements, audit and record keeping

Corporate Tax compliance starts with reliable accounts. KGRN can align bookkeeping, year-end reporting, tax computation and audit requirements in one workstream.

Penalties

Penalties and late compliance

Late compliance is recoverable more often than businesses expect, but the route depends on what was missed and when.

Penalty amounts and waiver conditions can change. Verify the FTA's current Administrative Penalties table and published initiative before relying on a figure.
