SAIF Zone requires FZE and FZC companies to submit an audited financial statement as part of every lease and licence renewal — original, stamped and signed by both the company owner and the auditor, and aligned to the fiscal year stated in your Memorandum and Articles of Association. KGRN Chartered Accountants audits under IFRS, gets the paperwork right first time, and supports your Finance and Accounts Department submission.
Yes, for FZE and FZC companies. SAIF Zone's published renewal requirements list the submission of an audited financial statement from an auditor for FZE and FZC companies, together with a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, as a condition of lease and licence renewal.
The audited financial report must be original, and must be stamped and signed by the owner or owners of the company as well as by the auditor. Two sets of signatures and stamps are required, not one — a detail that causes more rejected renewal packs than any other.
The audit report must be in line with the fiscal year stated in the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Your fiscal year is defined in your constitutional documents, so check them before the audit rather than after.
Renewal approaching without an audit in place?
Schedule Your SAIF Zone AuditThis is the distinction most SAIF Zone guidance misses entirely, and it changes what you need to produce at renewal.
Submit an audited financial statement from an auditor, together with a copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association. The report must be original, stamped and signed by the owner or owners and by the auditor, and aligned to the fiscal year in the MoA.
Submit a Certificate of Good Standing in place of the audited financial statement. Branches are treated differently under SAIF Zone's published renewal requirements — though your parent company's own reporting obligations still apply.
SAIF Zone requires the audit report to be in line with the fiscal year stated in your Memorandum and Articles of Association. That sounds administrative until an audit is prepared to 31 December while the MoA says something else — at which point the report does not match and the renewal pack is incomplete.
It is a five-minute check that saves a repeat engagement. We do it before fieldwork starts, every time.
SAIF Zone is explicit that the audited financial report should be original and must be stamped and signed by the owner or owners of the company and the auditor. Many companies present a properly signed auditor's report and stop there — and the pack comes back.
| Requirement | What SAIF Zone expects |
|---|---|
| Original document | The audited financial report should be original. Photocopies and scans do not satisfy the requirement. |
| Owner signature and stamp | Signed and stamped by the owner or owners of the company as shown on the licence. |
| Auditor signature and stamp | Signed and stamped by the auditor who performed the engagement. |
| Memorandum and Articles | A copy submitted alongside the audited financial statement. |
| Fiscal year alignment | The audit report must match the fiscal year stated in the MoA and Articles. |
| Finance & Accounts contact | SAIF Zone directs queries on these details to its Finance and Accounts Department. |
Want your renewal pack checked before you submit it?
Request an Audit Readiness AssessmentThe audited statement does not go straight into the renewal application. It passes through SAIF Zone's Finance and Accounts Department first, and what comes back is what you attach.
The undertaking route. SAIF Zone's renewal checklist recognises two forms of Finance and Accounts documentation: the department's acknowledgement on your audited financial statement, or an approved undertaking from that department. If your audit will not be complete in time, this is the mechanism to discuss with SAIF Zone rather than simply missing the submission — but it is a fallback, not a plan.
Also worth knowing. SAIF Zone reminds customers to sign and collect the tenancy contract for a smooth renewal process, and asks that renewal applications be typed and signed with the authorised signatory's signature and the company stamp.
